Armed with a back catalogue so extensive you wonder where they found time to write it all (not to mention Conor Oberst’s solo work and various side projects), Bright Eyes come to Columbiahalle this evening to showcase their latest studio offering The People’s Key.
Having evolved from being the obscure soundtrack of teenage angst with the release of their first few LPs, Bright Eyes are now the band to go to if your ears are craving modern folk with a strong focus on lyrics and simple instrumentation.
Bright Eyes are also notorious for extending their three piece lineup with the addition of surprise guests, previously sharing the stage with the likes of Ben Kweller, Nick Zinner, Jenny Lewis and M. Ward. So, not only are you already in for a good show but you never know who could turn up on stage for an impromptu jam or duet.
